[Glorious Food Part 1]

A few days ago, after some purchase in Simlim Sq with ZW, we hurried over to Shaw Tower(a wuloo threatre in bugis) to catch our show(NARNIA... damn nice show btw). Along the way, we spotted this small stretch of stalls selling malay food. Yes the sight of food there kinda captivated our attention for a moment but our show is starting in another ten minutes!!! (my fault... I took too long in SLS) So we walked on... but in my mind "I SHALL return"... hahaha... True enough, two days later I went back to change a spoil speaker. I took this opportunity to walk down that stretch of road again.

I have to admit the prata stall is kinda hard to spot. Its buried among other malay stalls. After some searching and asking(the neighbour stall uncle who gave me this piss-off-look and said "Next door"). Sorry lah uncle... next time I come eat your Roti John ok??

Finally I found the Prata Stall... I quickly order two plain and one teh-tarik. When the order comes, what attracted me the most is the curry. For a long time, I have never seen prata served with THICK, REDDISH curry. Most curry is super watery and bland, dont taste like curry at all. This has all the taste of what a curry should have, most importantly, its spicy! YUMMY!!! I quickly dip my crispy prata into what I call real curry and stuff it in my mouth... OHH Heaven!!! Within 5 min, its all gone. Together with the teh-tarik, it make the whole meal complete.

I recommend it to all prata lovers(yes Daniel u will love it). The meal cost me $2.10 so I guess the prata should be about 60 - 70c each while teh-tarik cost 70-90c. Who says nice food has to be expansive??

Ok to facilitate those who wanna try the prata, I have come up with my own map( Don't wanna mess with the copyright infringement of some sites)
Hmmm I will rate this prata 4/5 stars... So Prata anyone??

A fortunate meeting
defined by fate and revealed by destiny
an enchanting moment beyond the realm of reason
cunningly disguised in direst circumstances
whose touch is visible only to poetic souls

It chooses its own time and place
evermore pretentious of its purpose
crossing its hollowed path is futile
even frustrating to willing victims
coz it doesn't bend its will to ones desire

Teasing a consoled mind to go astray
that's always a part of the plan
yet it likewise reassures us to hold on to believe in DESTINY
and to let fate guide us on our journey

I am a willing victim to its wicked ploy
battling confusion, doubt and pain with a fragile sword
hanging on to a flicker of hope left inside me
coz I believe in my DESTINY
I believe in you.
